YINGCAI Ceramic Filter Plate Cleaner Helps a Quartz Sand Mine in Heyuan Reduce Costs and Improve Production Efficiency
A large quartz sand mine in Heyuan recently adopted YINGCAI ceramic filter plate cleaner to solve long-term maintenance challenges in ceramic filtration equipment. The application helped restore filter plate performance, reduce equipment downtime, lower cleaning and replacement costs, and support more stable quartz sand beneficiation production.
In quartz sand processing, ceramic filters are widely used for solid-liquid separation because of their high filtration efficiency and stable operation. However, after long-term high-load operation, the micropores of ceramic filter plates can be gradually blocked by fine quartz mud, iron oxide impurities, mineral particles, and other deposits. This leads to lower filtration efficiency, higher equipment load, unstable concentrate moisture, and increased maintenance pressure.
Before using YINGCAI’s solution, the mine mainly relied on manual high-pressure washing combined with acid cleaning. This method required long downtime, with each unit needing more than 8 hours for maintenance. Acid cleaning also increased the risk of corrosion damage to the ceramic filter plate body, shortening service life and increasing annual replacement costs. In terms of environmental management, the cleaning solution helps reduce reliance on strong acids and alkalis. The wastewater treatment process becomes easier and more controllable, helping reduce environmental treatment costs and support greener production.
Application Value
After using YINGCAI ceramic filter plate cleaner, the Heyuan quartz sand mine achieved clear improvements in production stability, equipment maintenance, and operating cost control.
The ceramic filters maintained more stable and efficient operation, and the moisture content of quartz sand concentrate was controlled within 8%, improving product quality consistency and receiving positive feedback from downstream customers.
The production line availability increased by 15%, while equipment downtime was significantly reduced. The service life of ceramic filter plates was extended to more than 3 years, and equipment replacement costs were reduced by about 60%.
In terms of total cost reduction, the mine reduced equipment maintenance costs, cleaning chemical costs, and wastewater treatment costs by more than RMB 2 million per year. At the same time, the daily output of the beneficiation production line increased by 10%, creating additional annual production value of over RMB 8 million.
