YCB02001G | Self-Cleaning, Antistatic, Water- and Oil-Repellent

Re-yingcai® Waterproof, Oil-Repellent and Anti-Fouling Nano Coating for PV Modules is a self-cleaning protective treatment independently developed by Yingcai New Material specifically for photovoltaic applications. Its inorganic hydrophobic nanosilica system cures at room temperature to form an ultra-thin, highly transparent film with strong water- and oil-repellent performance. The coating resists adhesion by sand, dust, oil, bird droppings and acid rain and uses rainfall for automatic cleaning. It helps maintain high PV glass light transmission, reduces manual cleaning frequency and is suitable for utility-scale, distributed, coastal and desert solar installations. Application options include spraying, roller coating and manual spray application.

  • Self-Cleaning & Anti-Fouling

    The nano coating creates a superhydrophobic and oil-repellent surface. Rolling rainwater removes dust and bird droppings, keeping annual soiling loss below 2%.

  • Enhanced Light Transmission & Efficiency

    An anti-reflective structure reduces glass reflectance to below 1%, improves light transmission and increases module efficiency by more than 5%.

  • Strong Weather Resistance

    Inorganic nanomaterials resist UV, acid rain and salt spray, remain stable from -40°C to 85°C and withstand more than 25,000 abrasion cycles.

  • Lower Cost & Stable Power Output

    Reduces cleaning frequency by 70%, lowers O&M costs and maintains optical performance without degradation for five years to improve system returns.

Lotus-Leaf Self-Cleaning Effect

A micro- and nanoscale protective structure replicates the lotus-leaf self-cleaning principle. As droplets roll across the surface, they collect dust and other particles, keeping PV panels cleaner and reducing manual washing frequency. This is particularly beneficial for solar-plant maintenance in arid, low-rainfall regions.

Dual Oil-Repellent Barrier

Low-surface-energy technology creates an oil-repellent barrier that makes it difficult for industrial oil mist, bird droppings and other viscous contaminants to adhere. Any contamination that does occur is easy to remove, helping keep PV glass light transmission above 93% over the long term and reducing the risk of hot spots.

Enhanced Power-Generation Performance

  • The transparent coating improves light transmission and reduces power loss caused by surface contamination. Tests show an average annual power-generation increase of 5%–8%. At the same time, the film blocks acid-rain corrosion, delays glass aging and can extend module service life by 3–5 years.

All-Weather Durable Protection

  • Photocuring crosslinking technology gives the coating a hardness of 6H, resistance to 5,000 hours of UV-aging testing and protection against typhoon-driven sand and stone impact. Performance remains stable from -40°C to 120°C, and a single application can provide more than five years of protection.
