YINGCAI New Materials R&D Center has completed a new round of product upgrades for multiple eco-friendly solar panel cleaning agents. The upgraded product series focuses on stronger cleaning performance, better material compatibility, improved environmental safety, and smarter application in photovoltaic operation and maintenance.

Solar modules operating outdoors for long periods are exposed to complex natural and industrial environments. Dust, sand, bird droppings, insect residues, plant secretions, oil stains, metal oxides, cement dust, calcium deposits, sulfate scale, and aged coating residues may gradually accumulate on the module surface. These contaminants reduce light transmission, lower power generation efficiency, and increase cleaning difficulty.

Traditional chemical cleaners often face limitations such as strong corrosion, harmful residues, poor environmental performance, and limited cleaning ability for mixed contaminants. In some cases, improper cleaning may damage PV glass, anti-reflective coatings, aluminum frames, backsheets, or surrounding soil and water environments.

Based on the analysis of hundreds of PV power station contamination samples and long-term follow-up of module performance after cleaning, YINGCAI launched this comprehensive cleaning agent upgrade project to provide safer, greener, and more efficient solutions for solar power station maintenance.

Technical Highlights

The upgraded cleaning agent series has achieved improvements in environmental protection, cleaning performance, material safety, and application flexibility.

Eco-Friendly Formulation

The main products use biodegradable surfactants and bio-based cleaning components to help break down organic contaminants more efficiently. After cleaning, the residual liquid can degrade more easily under natural environmental conditions, reducing potential impact on soil and water around PV power stations.

The upgraded product series avoids phosphorus-based additives and heavy metal components, making it more suitable for projects with higher environmental requirements, such as fishery-PV, agro-PV, forest-PV, ecological PV stations, and distributed rooftop solar projects.

Higher Cleaning Efficiency and Better Module Protection

The new-generation formulation provides stronger penetration and softening performance for stubborn contaminants such as hardened bird droppings, sticky resin, industrial oil stains, dust deposits, and coating residues. This helps reduce the need for high-intensity mechanical scrubbing and lowers the risk of surface scratches on PV modules.

Through optimized chemical formulation, the cleaning agents maintain strong cleaning ability while improving compatibility with PV glass, anti-reflective coatings, EVA encapsulation materials, backsheets, silicone sealants, and aluminum alloy frames. This helps protect the long-term reliability of solar modules.

Scenario-Based Product Matrix

YINGCAI has further improved its solar cleaning product system for different application scenarios.

The bio-based cleaning agent is suitable for organic contaminants commonly found in fishery-PV, agro-PV, forest-PV, and ecological PV projects.

The strong composite cleaning agent is designed for industrial areas with mixed contaminants such as dust, oil stains, chemical deposits, and aged coating residues.

The broad-spectrum neutral cleaner is suitable for routine dust cleaning and high-value PV modules requiring strict material safety and low-corrosion cleaning conditions.

Smart Cleaning Compatibility

The upgraded cleaning agents are also designed to better match automated cleaning equipment, including solar panel cleaning robots, spraying systems, and intelligent O&M platforms.

By improving liquid flow compatibility, spray stability, and dosage control, YINGCAI provides a more integrated solution combining cleaning agents, equipment, and cleaning process guidance. This supports large-scale solar power stations in achieving more precise, efficient, and water-saving cleaning operations.
