Project Location:
A gold ore beneficiation plant operated by a mining company in Longyan, Fujian Province. The local area has a subtropical monsoon climate with abundant rainfall and strict environmental control requirements. The plant needed to reduce environmental risks, control beneficiation wastewater and support green mine certification.
Application Scenario:
The solution was applied to the full gold extraction process of the beneficiation plant, covering raw ore crushing, grinding, leaching, solid-liquid separation and other core processing steps. It was compatible with the company’s existing flotation-leaching combined beneficiation process and was used in leaching tanks, filtration equipment and other key processing units to replace traditional cyanide-based gold extraction chemicals.
Project Scale:
The beneficiation production line processes about 600 tons of gold ore per day, with an annual raw ore processing capacity of approximately 219,000 tons. The eco-friendly gold extraction agent was applied to three leaching tanks, each with a capacity of 50m³, covering the full gold extraction process. The project was fully compatible with the original beneficiation equipment and required no additional major equipment investment
The company previously used a traditional cyanide gold extraction process. Although the original process could meet basic gold extraction needs, it gradually exposed several major problems as environmental policies became stricter and the company moved toward green mine transformation.
Environmental Pain Point:
The traditional cyanide gold extraction process involved highly toxic cyanide chemicals. Storage, transportation and use involved high safety risks and could cause potential soil and groundwater pollution. Cyanide-containing wastewater and heavy metal pollutants were difficult and costly to treat, and it was difficult to consistently meet local environmental discharge standards. This created environmental compliance risks and affected the company’s green mine certification progress.
Efficiency Pain Point:
The traditional cyanide leaching process had a relatively slow leaching speed and poor adaptability to the company’s low-grade oxidized gold ore. The gold extraction rate was only about 75%–78%, resulting in resource waste and a long processing cycle. This restricted overall beneficiation efficiency and made it difficult to meet future production expansion needs.
Cost Pain Point:
The traditional cyanide process required high chemical consumption, strict storage conditions, protective equipment and dedicated safety management personnel. Wastewater treatment also required additional chemicals and equipment investment. The annual environmental treatment cost reached approximately RMB 600,000, and labor operation and maintenance costs exceeded RMB 400,000, resulting in high comprehensive beneficiation costs.

With the implementation of green mine construction standards and stricter environmental protection policies, the traditional cyanide process no longer matched the company’s long-term green development requirements. If the process was not upgraded in time, it could affect production continuity, pollution prevention compliance and green mine certification.
Project introduction
To address the company’s key pain points, Yingcai New Materials formed a professional technical team based on the ore type, existing beneficiation process and green mine construction goals. The team conducted on-site investigation, tested raw ore composition, analyzed existing process parameters and developed a customized eco-friendly gold extraction solution.
The solution used Yingcai eco-friendly gold extraction agent for mining beneficiation. It was designed around environmental compliance, high-efficiency gold recovery, cost reduction and process stability. Without modifying the existing leaching tanks and filtration equipment, the solution replaced the original cyanide-based agent and upgraded the gold extraction process in a safer and more environmentally friendly way.
Core Chemical Selection:
Yingcai eco-friendly gold extraction agent was selected for this project. The product is a green mining chemical specially developed for gold ore beneficiation. Implementation Process:
The whole project was completed within 12 days. The implementation strictly followed mining safety and environmental construction standards, without affecting normal production. The whole process was controllable and traceable.
Preparation Stage:
The technical team inspected the raw ore composition and existing leaching process parameters, formulated detailed dosing ratios and application plans, and trained on-site personnel on chemical use, safe operation and parameter control. Reagents, dosing equipment and testing tools were also prepared.
Trial Application Stage:
Small-batch application was first carried out in one leaching tank. The team monitored leaching speed, gold extraction rate, chemical consumption and wastewater pollutant indicators in real time, and compared the results with the previous cyanide process. Based on the test results, the chemical ratio and dosage were optimized.
Full-Scale Application Stage:
The eco-friendly gold extraction agent was then applied to all three leaching tanks. The overall beneficiation process parameters were optimized to ensure stable full-process operation. Yingcai’s technical team stayed on site to solve application problems and ensure stable chemical performance.
Inspection and Acceptance Stage:
Together with the mining company, environmental consultants and operation team, the project was inspected based on gold extraction rate, chemical consumption, wastewater discharge indicators and safety management requirements. All key indicators met the expected targets, supporting the company’s green mine construction and acceptance.
Customer value
After six months of stable operation, continuous monitoring by the mining company and Yingcai’s technical team showed that the eco-friendly gold extraction solution fully achieved the expected results. It solved the environmental, efficiency, cost and compliance pain points of the original cyanide process and delivered significant value for the company.
Environmental Benefits:
The solution completely replaced the highly toxic cyanide-based gold extraction agent and achieved cyanide-free eco-friendly gold extraction. The chemical contains no toxic or harmful substances, and the whole process of storage, use and waste treatment is safer.
After simple neutralization treatment, the gold extraction wastewater met the local mining environmental discharge standards for COD, heavy metals and other pollutants. The wastewater could also be recycled back into the beneficiation process, reducing external discharge. The project reduced annual wastewater treatment volume by approximately 12,000 tons and significantly lowered the pollution risk to surrounding soil and groundwater.
The solution helped the company successfully pass the mid-term green mine acceptance and provided strong support for its long-term environmental compliance.
Economic Benefits:
Gold extraction efficiency improved significantly. The gold extraction rate increased from the previous 75%–78% to 85%–87%. The daily additional gold output reached approximately 0.3 kg, and the annual additional gold output reached approximately 109.5 kg, creating direct annual economic benefits of more than RMB 6.5 million.
Compared with the traditional cyanide-based process, chemical consumption decreased by about 15%. The company no longer needed special hazardous chemical storage, protective equipment or dedicated safety control personnel. Annual savings in chemical procurement, environmental treatment and labor operation costs exceeded RMB 900,000.
The solution required no modification to existing equipment, saving more than RMB 2 million in equipment upgrading investment. Overall, the project achieved cost reduction and efficiency improvement across production, environmental protection and operation.
